About Jeni

I am a licensed massage therapist and graduate of SHI Integrative Medical Massage School trained in Swedish massage, deep tissue, craniosacral, iliosacral Muscle Energy Technique (MET), sacroiliac MET, and TMJ dysfunction massage. My practice is always growing and evolving as I take continuing education courses and research new techniques. I enjoy learning as much as I can about this wonderful and rewarding profession and I appreciate being able to customize each session to best fit the needs of my client.

According to the American Massage Therapy Association1, some of the benefits of massage include…

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Traditional style massage consisting of gliding strokes, kneading, friction, shaking, and tapotement (tapping). Light to deep pressure. Promotes health and relaxation.

MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUE (MET)

Gentle manipulation of muscles, using contraction and relaxation as a way of lengthening muscles and improving range of motion. An active technique because the client participates in the movements.

CRANIOSACRAL

A technique that facilitates the movement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in order to help restore the central nervous system and balance the rhythm of CSF. Great for nervous disorders. This is very subtle and very gentle work and often leaves clients very relaxed after the session ends.
